Coach Sean Liburd owner of Knowledge Bookstore with Khalilah Brooks also known as ‘Aunty B’. She is also the author of “Feels Good to be Kind”. After a fun and exciting reading and puppet show for the children at Knowledge Bookstore we took a few photos. Khalilah’s company provides theatrical workshops based on bullying, positive peer interactions, self-esteem and black history month shows. Her show always brings the children alive with the variety of characters and the playfulness of the characters. Furthermore, children will learn how to use their moral teachings, insights and understanding to always do what is correct.
Knowledge Bookstore believes in being proactive with educating children to excel in life. That is why we developed the “Raise A Reader Program”. The purpose of the program is to encourages parents and guardians to teach young children the importance of reading. In addition to continue to encourage reading in the home and to also be an example by reading themselves. Khalilah’s book Feels Good to be Kind is one of our recommended children’s books and its available in-store Knowledge Bookstore at 177 Queen Street West in Brampton or online at knowledgebookstore
Khalilah’s workshop and book teaches children how to respond to a variety of situations in a positive and empowering manner. At Knowledge Bookstore we believe in providing books, shows, activities and games. We also “Encourage Young Minds” to learn to problem solve, think critically, express creatively and develop a strong sense of self.
It is always a pleasure working with Aunty B whose shows compliments our goal here at Knowledge Bookstore. Together with partners like Khalilah we can make a difference in teaching young children Personal Mastery skills. It is our responsibility to provide the children of today with the tools, skills and guidance to create their better tomorrow.
